Apple Shuts Down Retail Stores Outside China Until March 27

The rapid rise Coronavirus worldwide has prompted an immediate closure of Apple retail store all over the United States and globally except China. This was confirmed by a press release issued by company CEO Tim Cook.

The company announced that they will be closing their retail stores until March 27 to help in the cause of social distancing and avoid the possible spread of the virus.

Despite the closure of the physical stores, the Apple website will still be operational at apple.com and support.apple.com for customers who might encounter an issue with their devices.

Cook also stated that they assure to pay the workers that will be affected accordingly based on the usual business operartions.

As it stands, there are over 145,000 cases of the coronavirus all over the world and over 5,400 casualties. In the United States alone, the total number of cases now is at least 2,330.
