Angry Birds Android App Set To Make $1 Million Per Month In Mobile Advertisement

Angry Birds android app is leading the mobile app arena as it is set to clock $1 Million in advertising revenue before the end of the year. The mobile app was first released on the iphone and now since its debut on the android market, it is already making history. The android version of the addictive game mobile app became available on October 15 and offered as free compared to the $0.99 on iphone Appstore. Downloads already tops 7 million and still counting.

Wikileaks Switches To Other Domain Names

Wikileaks has switched its website from the main .org and .com domain names to others like .de, .fi , .nl and others. The switch was as a result of the constant DDoS attacks being bombarded on the .org domain name which were hosted with EveryDNS.net. EveryDNS.net reported they had issued a 24 hour termination notice which ended at 0300 GMT December 2 but that Wikileaks didn’t relocate their DNS hosting to another DNS service provider which is why the .org domain is currently unreacheable.

BlackBerry 6 Gets Certified By US Government

The Federal Information Processing Standard, FIPS of the US Government just recently certified the cryptographic kernel of the BlackBerry 6 mobile operating system with the FIPS 140-2 security certification. This certification approves the use of the BlackBerry 6 powered phones by the US Government, which will give the security needed to handle sensitive government data by employees.

FTC Privacy Report Proposes “Do Not Track” System For Web Surfers

It seems like the FTC has been listening to the privacy concerns of the US web surfers who use the internet because they are already proposing a plan to offer online surfers an option to opt out of the tracking system used by web publishers to track their surfing habits. This will make it easy for web surfers to be able to decide if they want websites to be able to track their surfing habits or not by creating a way to opt out of being tracked by the web cookies or other web tracking technology used today.

Google Chrome 8 Web Browser Updated

Google just announced the latest Stable release of Google Chrome 8 web browser, 8.0.552.215 which fixes over 800 bugs and offers several stability improvements. The new release also offers a built in PDF viewer which is secured in Chrome’s sandbox. This is a stable release, so you can update your browser if you already have it or you can go and download it now if you don’t already have it, from Google’s website.

Android 2.2, Codename Froyo Undergoes Browser Speed Test

Some guy from PocketNow just performed a browser speed test following Google’s bold statement that the Froyo has the fastest web browser of any mobile phone. Well want to know what the result is? The test was performed between three great high end mobile phones, the Nexus One ofcourse, iPhone 3GS and HTC HD2. FTC Approves Google-Admob $750 Million Acquisition

The Google-Admob deal is finally approved. FTC recently gave Google the go ahead to acquire the mobile ad network Admob for a $750 Million deal. The deal was approved thanks to Apple, for also planning to enter the mobile ad business, that way it proves Google is not going to be monopolizing search on mobile devices. Apple, which also wanted Admob went to Quattro Wireless instead, as they couldn’t outbid Google for the $750 Million clock deal. The previous antitrust issues raised earlier about the acquisition were dissolved with Apple’s move to joining in the mobile advertising business.

Have you been frustrated with the Android Market website? Well i have while trying to view the different android apps available and had difficulty perusing around. The user interface was nothing to write about at that time. Now Google just completed a website makeover for their Android Market website and although better than the previous design and layout, it still lacks the search needed to browse around the thousand of apps currently available on the website.

Just around 5 years ago Youtube launched with its first video on April 2005, and now the website has changed the way people share video content online now serving 2 billion views per day. Youtube has really helped lots of people from learning, to accelerating innovation in every facets of life. People have shared personal, business and community videos to increase visibility, discussion and awareness among people from different countries of the world.

The statistics really speak for the reason why Youtube is so changing the ways video content are shared on the web. Just around a year ago it was announced that it had surpassed 1 billion views per day mark and now it is serving around 2 billion views per day. That is really awesome.
